Red as the Sky, Deep as the Sea

I was commissioned by author Rita Chang-Ippeg to create a portrait illustration of a character from her novel, Red as the Sky, Deep as the Sea, to promote her book during AAPI Heritage Month. Shek Yeung lived during the early 1800s in Hong Kong and she embodied the resilience, strength, beauty, and defiance of an Asian woman.
